STEWARDSHIP MATTERS
Dear members of Trinity, as you have noticed,
we’ve been running a deficit for several weeks.
This week, I received a phone call from our treasurer,
Matt Montgomery, who is beginning the process of using the line of credit we approved last fall.
I urge you to consider what you are giving back to the Lord
for the work of the church in this place, at our school, and around the world.
We can only do those things with the funds that you return to the Lord,
who has given them to you to manage in His stead.
As you consider what you are able to give for the work of the church,
pray the words of the great hymn:
“We give Thee but Thine own, whate’er the gift may be;
all that we have is Thine alone, a trust, O Lord, from Thee.”
Amen.

LCS JOINT SERVICE AND 1ST ANNUAL COOK OFF
The association congregations that form Lutheran Central School will be
joining together in worship on
Sunday, August 21st, at 9:30at the
Brownstown High School Auditorium.
Pastor McKinley will be conducting the liturgy and preaching.
This means that we will not have service at Trinity on that day.
After the service, from 11-5, there will be a cook off
(entry forms are on the table in the lobby),
games, prizes, and various local food trucks.
This is a great opportunity to give thanks for the common mission
we share with St. Paul Wegan and St. Peter Brownstown
and a wonderful opportunity to enjoy time together
with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

STEWARDSHIP
Mark 8:2 – “I have compassion on the crowd. . .”
Still today the Lord has compassion upon those who follow Him.
He knows our needs, and He provides for us.
Indeed, He does all this for us long before we think to pray for what we need,
before we even know that we need it.
Knowing the Lord’s provision frees us from worry about our bodily needs.
The Lord really does provide for us out of His unending compassion.
