After his second year in college, he left school and ventured into the business world. In 1991 he opened Pennant Fever Sports Cards in downtown Neenah. During the next two years he sold sports cards, memorabilia, sports statues, and hobby supplies. In 1993 he sold his business and returned to college. He enrolled at Concordia University Wisconsin and majored in history and theology. While attending Concordia he met his future wife, Heather Halladay.
Pastor Ahlemeyer graduated from Concordia University in 1995 with a BA degree. Two weeks later he married Heather on May 27, 1995, at First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg, WI. Since Heather had one more year in the Occupational Therapy program at Concordia University, the couple settled in Germantown, WI. During this year, he worked at Hunt Marketing in Milwaukee, where he managed their Cadillac Golf Account. After Heather's graduation in May of 1996, the couple moved to Fort Wayne, IN, where Pastor began his theological studies at Concordia Theological Seminary. He served his vicarage (3rd year of study) at Trinity Lutheran Church in Norman, Oklahoma. Upon his fourth and final year of study, Pastor Ahlemeyer received a divine call to Messiah Lutheran Church in Aspen, Colorado. Upon completion of his studies and graduating with a Master of Divinity Degree, Pastor Ahlemeyer was ordained into the holy ministry on August 13, 2000 at Messiah in Aspen.
Pastor Ahlemeyer served Messiah until he received calls to Trinity Lutheran Church in Vallonia, IN and Faith Lutheran Church in Salem, IN on February 23, 2003. Pastor Ahlemeyer was installed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Vallonia on May 11, 2003.
Pastor and Heather reside in Vallonia and have 4 children, Timothy, Shella, Brennan & Laura.
